A few words about
My name is Ashlee Denny and live in Temecula, California. I am a Certified Pediatric Sleep Consultant and a proud member of the Sleep Wise Consulting Team. I am married to a San Diego Police Sergeant and am a mother of two wonderful children, Jacob and Caroline.
I graduated from the United States Naval Academy and prior to becoming a Pediatric Sleep Consultant I served as an officer in the United States Marine Corps alongside my brother and father.
After seven years of active duty I decided to hang up my combat boots with the hopes of having a family. I had my son in the summer of 2017 and figured that my military training and deployments would have amply prepared me for the little sleep that a new baby would bring. I couldn’t have been more wrong!
For the first three months of his life my son only slept while being held and it was exhausting.
I felt like a failure because I was a planner and thought that I had all of the right information on how to help him sleep from books and friends, but I just couldn’t figure it out. As my son grew older his sleep habits improved slightly but he still did not sleep through the night. Finally, I made the decision to call Sleep Wise Consulting and within a few days we saw improvement in my son’s sleep and by the end of our consultation he was sleeping through the night! It was life changing! I got my sleep back and found my next mission; to become a Certified Pediatric Sleep Consultant and learn how to help other families teach their children independent sleep skills.
As an officer in the Marine Corps, I was trained to create detailed plans and ensure their successful implementation. More importantly, I was trained to effectively listen and communicate to ensure that accurate feedback was noted, and necessary adaptations were made to ensure success.
As a Pediatric Sleep Consultant, I take all of my previous training and couple it with my new passion and education in order to help others give their child the gift of independent sleep.
I am here to create a custom sleep plan that works for your family, walk beside you during the entire process and help you turn your dream of healthy sleep for your child into a reality.
