“After fourteen long and sleepless months, Katie rescued us! My son Cole had never been a good sleeper. He required thirty minutes to an hour of rocking, bouncing, singing, shushing and crying (him and me) before he would fall asleep  ̶  if he fell asleep at all. He slept in ninety minute intervals and would often be awake for hours in the middle of the night. After fourteen months the lack of sleep had negatively impacted every aspect of our life. We contemplated investing in a sleep consultant for months before actually hiring Katie. I wish we had done it sooner! With Katie’s help Cole now puts himself to sleep every time, he takes great naps and sleeps through the night! “Before we started working with Jeannine, our 10 week old baby boy, Randon, was waking anywhere from 25-45 mins into his daytime naps. I’d run upstairs and try to put his binky in his mouth in hopes of soothing him and getting him back to sleep. Sometimes it would work, often it didn’t. I found myself sitting in on his naps, just killing time in the dark, to try to be there when he awoke and to get to him faster with the binky. I was miserable. I had no down time, no time to get anything done, and no time to myself. At night, we were spending an hour and a half trying to get Randon to sleep for bedtime. When we contacted Sleep Wise Consulting, Randon had started waking up almost every two hours during the night from about 10 pm to 6 am.  We felt we were spending all of our time just trying to get our baby to sleep. We didn’t know what we were doing wrong. We had read all the books, kept him on a consistent schedule, had the perfect bedtime routine (so we thought), and our baby just did not want to sleep.
We scheduled our 15 minute consultation with Jeannine and were desperate to start as soon as possible. After three weeks of working with Jeannine, things have dramatically improved! No rocking, no shooshing, no pickup put downs. His nights are now 7 pm – 7 am…and for the first time ever, he slept through the night with no feedings! During the day he’s now taking full 2 hour naps. I have so much time to get things done, Randon is way happier, and best of all, my husband and I actually feel like we can function because we’ve been getting sleep.”

“Despite all my efforts in getting our daughter off to a good start sleeping, I could not get her to take longer than 45 minute naps and she was still waking twice a night at 12 weeks old.  I just wasn’t sure what else I could do to improve her sleep but I knew she was capable of better sleep.  I myself was exhausted from being up multiple times a night. “We worked with Jeannine after realizing that our 5 month old little boy needed some help with sleeping through the night and taking more consistent naps. For more than 2 months our little guy was waking anywhere from 1-5 times a night and was taking 3-4 30-45 minute naps during the day. Jeannine took the time to really get to know our family and our son and quickly came up with a plan that we felt comfortable with and that was easy to implement between my husband and I and our nanny. Within 3 days we saw drastic improvements. He would go to bed at 7 and wake up between 5-7 and then started taking 45 minute – 2 hour naps. “Wow. I can’t believe it took me so long to finally get help with my daughters sleep habits, which undoubtedly I created. Alexia has never been a good sleeper. Ever since we brought her home it had been a battle to get her to sleep and trying to make her STAY asleep was a whole different war that we weren’t ever going to win. I begged other moms to tell me what to do. I begged my own mother to tell me how she survived 8 children. How do I get her to sleep all night?? Or at least sleep longer than ONE HOUR increments?

 

No one had any suggestions for me other than “you’ll have to let her scream”. It will only take about 3-4 days of that and then she’ll be done. That was never an option for me. How could I just one night abandon my child who for the past 11 months has cried and I’ve responded. To me that just seemed cruel and very emotionally damaging. But again. 11 months is a long time for me to not get any sleep.

 

So I contacted Jeannine at Sleep Wise Consulting and she changed my life! I dreaded that first night of implementing the new systems and schedules that she came up with just knowing my daughter would fight and I’d have to hear her scream and we would battle for hours. Night one came and after an hour and a half discussion with Jeannine about how to get her in her crib for bed initially and how to deal with night wakings, we began. It was amazing!! Yes, my daughter cried and put up a fight but by following exactly the plan she had put in place by night 3 there were minimal tears and no more night wakings.  Now after completing the 2 weeks with unlimited support and access to Jeannine we are officially graduated to a big girl sleeper! She sleeps in her crib without me or her father going in her room at all until morning.

 

Jeannine, by teaching us, how to teach Alexia, how to self soothe has given us a whole new life. We now all get the amounts of sleep we need to be a good mommy, a good daddy, and a healthy happy baby. I can’t thank her enough for the help, encouragement, and support she showed up for those 2 stressful weeks. It was most definitely appreciated! Now we are even talking about adding to our family now that Alexia is sleeping like a big girl. I can’t fully express our appreciation and gratitude to Jeannine for the transformation in our family. “We started working with Jeannine Conte when our LO was about 13 weeks old. Night time sleep was okay (usually sleeping about 8pm-6am with two wake ups/feeds), but naps were a nightmare. To get LO to fall asleep, we had to rock and shush and bounce and walk – and she usually cried the whole time. Then, to keep her asleep, we had to hold her for her entire naps. We tried putting her in the rock n play for naps, but she never slept more than 45 minutes in the rock n play (despite sleeping pretty well in there overnight).

 

I knew we had to make a change, because LO was going to start daycare and I just wanted to do everything in my power to make sure she would be able to get decent naps at daycare. So I got in touch with Jeannine. Our first night working with her, LO slept for 7 hours straight! The next night it was 9 hours, then 10 hours. I had no idea how much better her night time sleep could be! She’s now sleeping about 12 hours every night with one motn feed (she’s quite small and still needs this).

 

Naps took a little more work, but she now naps in her crib and falls asleep on her own. She’s consistently getting about 3.5-4 hours of daytime sleep.

 

I’m so thankful to Jeannine for the help and guidance she provided us. She was always available to answer our questions and tell us how to handle any situation we encountered. I’m so much more confident now that my baby girl will be able to take good naps at daycare!

 

This was definitely one of the best investments we’ve ever made as a family. Hubby and I are getting more sleep, more quality time together, and more time to complete household tasks. And baby girl is SO MUCH HAPPIER now that she’s getting the rest she needs!”
